Everything is off by default

This site loads nothing from third parties before you have made a choice. The one exception is payment: Stripe’s payment form loads only when you reach the payment step on the order page (see below). No advertising networks, no social media buttons that follow you, no trackers. The fonts come from our own domain, so no outside company sees who visits this page.

The same goes for the map from Google Maps in the Visit section: it loads only when you press "Show map". From then on, Google can set cookies and sees your IP address. Without that click, nothing comes from Google.

What we do store

Four things. The first, and only after you have made a choice: your answer to the cookie notice. It is kept in your own browser’s local storage under the name ovrick-analytics-consent, with the date of your choice next to it under ovrick-analytics-consent-at. That way we do not need to ask you again for six months, and then we ask once more. It does not leave your device.

The second is your basket on the order page: the items and quantities you chose, in the same local storage under the name zoetekauw-basket. It is strictly necessary for the basket to work, it leaves your device only when you place the order, and you clear it by emptying the basket or by deleting this site’s data from your browser.

The third is your filter on the allergen buttons in the menu, if you use one: the allergens you picked, in your browser’s session storage under the name zoetekauw-allergen-filter, so you do not have to pick them again after a reload. It is strictly necessary for those buttons, it does not leave your device, and it disappears when you close the tab.

The fourth, only at the payment step on the order page: the payment form loads from Stripe (js.stripe.com), and Stripe sets two cookies on this site for fraud prevention, __stripe_mid (one year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes). They are needed to take the payment.

Visitor statistics, only after consent

If you agree in the cookie notice, we load Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views without setting cookies and without following you to other sites. If you decline, the script is never loaded and nothing is counted. If you allow it, we also count clicks on the main buttons (call, WhatsApp, email and ordering); those counts also go to Ovrick Cassini, the editor behind this site (hosted on Cloudflare’s worldwide network, counts stored in Western Europe), which keeps only a daily total per button: no IP address, no cookie, no visitor id.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time with the button below, or with the link at the bottom of every page. The notice then appears again. If you delete this site’s stored data from your browser, we will ask again on your next visit.
